And for the competitive event:
A 4 person team mountain challenge designed to sit somewhere between the Yorkshire Three Peaks & national Three Peaks Challenge in terms of endurance, logistics and teamwork. Ideal training for the big event.
Starting at Glentrool near Newton Stewart, teams will either complete a circuit of Loch Trool (flat / 5 miles) or climb Merrick (843 metres / 8 miles), depending upon entry class. Teams will then drive to Rowardennan where all classes will climb Ben Lomond (974 metres / 8 miles). This is followed by a drive to Fort William for the final challenge - Ben Nevis. Full Course teams will climb to the summit (1344 metres / 10 miles) whilst Short Course teams will turn round at Halfway Lochan (700 metres / 5 miles).
